This policy explains what showuphandyman.com collects, why, and what we do with it. In this policy, “we” means Show Up Handyman. It is short because the site does very little.
What this covers. This policy applies to showuphandyman.com, including the quote form and the chat assistant on it. Work we perform for you is covered by the written estimate you agree to, not by this page.
1Information you give us
The quote form asks what needs doing, the town, when you need it done, a short description, your name, and a phone number or email address so we can reply. You may also attach one photo of the job. You choose what to enter.
Photos. Before a photo leaves your device, your browser resizes it and re-saves it, which removes hidden details such as the location where it was taken. The photo is attached to the email that goes to us and is not stored on this website.
The chat assistant. Messages you type into the chat are sent to our AI service provider to generate a reply. We do not save chat conversations on our systems. Your browser keeps the conversation only until you close the tab. Please do not type card numbers, passwords or other sensitive details into the chat.
2Information collected automatically
We do not use advertising, analytics or visitor tracking on this site.
To keep out spam and abuse, an automated check processes technical signals from your browser when you submit the quote form, and we limit how often requests can be sent from a single network address. Those signals are used only for that purpose, not to build a profile of you.
Our hosting provider keeps short-lived technical records, such as the time and outcome of each request, so the site can run reliably. We do not record what you type into the form or the chat in those records.
3How we use it
To reply to your request, prepare a written estimate, schedule the work, and remind ourselves of requests that have not been answered yet. That is the whole list. We do not add your contact details to a marketing list.
4How it is stored and who can see it
Quote requests are stored in a database run by our hosting provider and emailed to us. AI chat messages are processed by our AI service provider. These providers work for us under their business terms. Only Show Up Handyman and the people who run this website for it can see your request.
5We do not sell or share it
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We may disclose information if the law or valid legal process requires it.
6How long we keep it
Quote requests are deleted from the website’s database automatically 90 days after they are sent. Photos are never stored on the website. If you become a customer, we keep the estimate, invoice and related emails as normal business records.
7Your choices
Contact details are coming soon. Once they are posted on this site, you can use them to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will do it and confirm when it is done.
8Children
This site is for adults arranging work on a home or property. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
9Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
